It’s a Writer’s Party Weekend–October 14-16!
We’re taking our Writer’s party on the road to write, read, relax and get our energy elevated to write out our hearts and souls. A maximum of 10 writers will be selected to join us at historic Teel House for a weekend of creative, intuitive and practical knowledge to jumpstart or bolster whatever type of writing you are working on.
Friday night will be our opening ceremony, a shared dinner and intention-setting for our time together. Saturday morning we explore topics of creativity, inspiration and breaking through the blocks that keep us from writing the way we want to. Saturday afternoon, we get down to the nitty-gritty of fiction and non-fiction writing. Sunday morning we map out completing our projects and share our work together one final time.
During this Writer’s Party weekend, the rules are the same–you BYOB–bring your own beverage–we’ll supply the rest, including:
— meditation, movement and motivation for your creative output
— shared and separate writing time to work on your project
— comraderie and critiques of fellow writers
— workshop workbook which will include all worksheets, planners, and other information discussed during the conference
— all meals, including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and meatatarian selections prepared by our personal chef!
Just make sure to bring your computer, writing implements, pads, paper, journals or however you like to pour out your creative input.
The workshop will take place at Teel House located in Norwich, Connecticut. Teel boasts lots of nooks and crannies for writing, reading, sharing, contemplation and meditation. There is also a pool table in the men’s parlor and a karaoke machine in the ballroom for those looking for a different sort of diversion. Lodging is available for a nominal fee per night.
